Dear Leaders,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the Samita Lab Mastermind Retreat, happening on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, in the heart of Brooklyn.

I designed this day to be a little bit indulgent.

A little bit magical.

Come ready to reconnect with you---maybe a part of you that got 'lost' with the daily demands of life and work.

Also, meet the women leaders who will be on this year-long journey with you today.

What to Expect:


From journaling answers to some deep questions to finding a little bit of magic in your daily, I designed the day with the help of some amazing members of my community.

It includes meditation, Reiki, a sound bath, and guided visualizations.


What to Bring:


  • Your appetite! Chef Nitin Kamath will be on site with us all day, making a fresh breakfast and lunch.
  • Your vision board for what you want in 2025. Just 6 images. I wrote a step-by-step tutorial on how to create one here
  • A second board or list: I used images to illustrate this exercise:
  • What image do other people carry about you?
  • How would you like people to describe you in 2025?
  • What's the difference?
  • Results of your “Color Code Quiz.” 2025 is about to be a year like no other. Start by discovering your power colors. Mine is royal blue. Do your own color analysis here
  • An Open Mind: Be ready to share, connect, and dream big!

What to Wear:


Comfort is key! Opt for athleisure wear that allows you to move freely during the guided meditation and the sound bath. Layers are recommended, as the space may fluctuate in temperature.

We are honored to create this intentional space for you and can’t wait to witness the energy, clarity, and vision you bring to the circle.

Breakfast (pick one)

Rava Idli With Potato Sagoo
This menu item has its origins at a Bangalorean restaurant called "Mavalli Tiffin Rooms."  Idli is a soft & fluffy steamed cake made with roasted semolina and yogurt batter. These are one of the healthiest protein packed breakfasts from the South of India.  idlis made are a delight when served with mildly spiced potato gravy.

Cheese Omelet
A satisfying, and versatile dish made with fluffy eggs and gooey melted cheese, customized to your taste with herbs, veggies, or meat.


Beverages (all day)

  • Masala Tea
  • A special brew created by Chef Nitin's wife Vidhya. Tea infused with ginger & cardamom.
  • Coffee, Soda, Sparkling Water & Juice

    Snack Time 
    Biscuit Ambado with Ginger Chutney
    This menu item has its origins in Karnataka. It's a unique & crispy lentil fritter made with urad dal and served with coconut and ginger chutney

Non vegetarian choice

Pumpkin & Seafood Curry (Salmon & Shrimp)

Chef Nitin's take on classic Indian fish curry. He grew up eating it. It's a mildly spiced and soaked in coconut milk, with hint of tamarind to balance the sweetness of the pumpkin. The shrimp & the salmon are served on a fragrant bed of small grain rice.

Makki Double Roti with Sarson Ka Saag & Burrata

Chef Nitin's take on an iconic dish from Punjab. It's savory and baked corn bread served with spicy mustard greens --a winter staple in North India and burrata.

Dessert
Shahi Tukda with Maple Syrup
Chef Nitin's take on a decadent and regal Indian dessert, often referred to as the "royal bread
pudding." Originating from food served to the Mughals of India. The base is a french brioche, simmered in
thickened milk, infused with saffron & maple syrup. 


Morning:

11:00 AM – 11:20 AM Welcome Ritual

  • An opening meditation with Lauren Alagna.  
  • We know that life, kids, work can force us to lose the most important connection: That valuable one with ourselves.
  • Wellness expert Lauren Alagna invites you to take a deep breath to reconnect with yourself as we begin this day together.
  • Opening circle. Introductions and sharing one intention for the day
  • Staying close to the mat the entire practice, we'll settle into some deep yin poses allowing the mind to clear as the body opens up. An equal balance of energy and relaxation. Yoga mats will be provided.

11:15 AM – 11:45 AM | Defining Your "Why"


  • Journal questions: What impact do I want to have in 2025? Ill set the timer and ask you to journal the answers to these questions.
  • Are there parts of you that went dormant because you thought business and or career could do without it? You went with the norm. You did things like how it was "supposed" to be done. Share with your partner one way you could embody ALL of who you are this year?
  • Where are you second guessing yourself and allowing fear and doubt keeping you from showing up fully. How can you embrace all of who you are in 2025?
  • Partner share: This an opportunity to get to know one another a little more deeply.

11:45 AM – 12:30 PM | How to get the most out of this year | Review Client Coach Agreements

Afternoon:

1:30 PM--2:00 PM | Reiki, sound bath

  • Group activity: Saba Hocek and Hanna Leena of Self Empowered Minds leads a group Reiki and Sound Bath session that activates the inner genius. You will be seated for this.

2:00 - 2:30 PM | Vision Boards and Shares: Group Reiki and Sound Bath to elevate creativity

Now that you are in a prime state to review your vision boards, let's review them.

I rented this villa in Tuscany for the retreat:

  • Bring your vision board, pre made, to this session.
  • For purposes of time, I will ask you to share only 6 images from your board with the group.
  • Think about why you want these images to come true this year.


About Saba Hocek

2:30 PM – 3:30 PM | What's your super power?


In this section, Saba and I will tag team.

I'll ask one of the following journal questions. You free flow write for 3 minutes. Don't judge anything that comes out. Just get it down on paper.

Then Saba will lead us in a guided visualization after each journaling session to see what your super power is and how to remove any blocks.

Questions:

  • Self care and putting one self first is a big and important way to make your goals this year, come to fruition. In that spirit, what are self-care rituals you can commit to each week to make your vision board real? Where in your home can you set aside space to journal and reflect daily?
  • How could you be anchored in your femininity? What are your power colors?
  • How have you conformed? How have you neglected to use your gifts?
  • Sovereignty comes from fully showing up in all of your power. When you do, you are able to create spaces that act like magnets to other sovereign people who are called to do amazing things too. How could you show up in all of your power right now?


3:30 PM – 4:00 PM | Closing Circle, Sound Bath & Farewell


  • Reflective journaling: What inspired you today, and what commitment will you carry forward?
  • Gratitude Jar: On a slip of paper, write down your name AND the name of one person you met today. Write down something impactful she said. Put the slip of paper in the gratitude jar.
  • Afterwards, we will each pull one slip of paper from the jar and read it aloud.
  • Saba Hocek and Hanna Leena of Self Empowered Minds leads a sound bath to seal the day.
